Overview
  • There are three different ways of sending postcards to your clients via ezyVet. For an overview of the different ways of creating postcards, please see the help guide "Overview: Sending Postcard communications from ezyVet"
  • Please note: This article does solely cover how to print postcards in house - not how to send postcards via the US Postcard integration or using a Third party provider.

1. Create a new document template

Enter the text you would like to see printed on the back of the postcard. This needs to be set up like a normal reminder, using template variables as appropriate.

This will require you to format a new document template in landscape orientation.

If you wish to use our example template as a starting point, you can copy and paste the source code below. Copy the below, go to Admin > Templates> Document templates and click on "Source", then paste and save.

<table align="left" border="0" style="width:50%;">

    <tbody>

        <tr>

            <td align="left" style="width: 159px;" valign="top">{BusinessLogo}</td>

            <td align="right" style="width: 252px;" valign="bottom">

            <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="width:300px;">

                <tbody>

                    <tr>

                        <td align="right" height="87" style="width: 182px;" valign="top" width="120">

                        <p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">{BusinessName}<br />

                        {BusinessPostalAddress}<br />

                        Ph {BusinessPhone}<br />

                        Fax {BusinessFax}<br />

                        Email {BusinessEmail}<br />

                        {BusinessWebSite}</span></span></p>

                        </td>

                    </tr>

                </tbody>

            </table>

            </td>

        </tr>

            <br />

            Warm regards,<br />

            <br />

            {BusinessName}</span></td>

            <td style="width: 144px;"></td>

            <td style="width: 422px; text-align: right;"><span style="font-size:28px;"><u>{ClientContactName}<br />

            {ContactPostalAddress}</u></span></td>

        </tr>

    </tbody>

</table>

2.  Preview your template

Now you can preview your template by clicking the "Save and Preview" field. Commonly you would print 4 postcards per A4 page, so make sure to also preview the template with 4 pages per sheet.

3. Add reminder communications to your clients' files

Add snail mail communications to client files manually or add pending snail mail communications to your automated communication tasks.

4. In the communications tab, select 4 snail mail communications at a time and click "Print selected"

In the printing preview, you will be able to again choose 4 pages per sheet.

5. Print 4 postcards per Din A4 page

Tips:

  • We do not recommend this way of printing postcards as it requires you to create, format, and print the postcard templates yourself.
  • Please check out the other ways of sending postcards in the help guide "Overview: Sending Postcard communications from ezyVet."
